Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering has envisioned itself to become a well-known name in R&D activities in central India. It is a pleasure to inform you that research at YCCE has grown significantly in the last decade. The R and D department of YCCE, Nagpur aims to nurture sustainable research culture in emerging areas and to develop the research capability of students, scholars, and institutional faculty members through keen Participation in reputed conferences, seminars, workshops, etc. R&D activities are encouraged at both departmental as well as institutional levels
At YCCE, Research centers are equipped with the latest infrastructure and other research facilities in all departments for achieving the R & D goals. The performance of these R&D centers is represented/demonstrated in terms of the increasing number of patents, peer-reviewed publications, and research funding received.
The institute implements various policies through which financial assistance is provided to the faculty and the students to undergo research by the sanction of the seed fund, attend International/National conferences, and training courses, participate in design competitions, and fill, and examine the patents. This has significantly increased the number of research paper publications and patents published and granted. Institute faculty have received research grants from various funding agencies like AICTE, DST, MSME, Harvard University, USA and DMIMS Wardha, Summit Institute of Development (SID), Indonesia, etc., and some reputed industries. Incentives are given to the faculty for research publications and getting funded project from Government agencies.
YCCE provides a healthy environment and research support on campus for the generation of concepts, ideas, and technologies. The institution has collaborations with leading science and technology organizations, Universities, and industry that help in collaborative and meaningful research. With continual and visionary support from the college management, faculty efforts, and students, the R&D culture is really picking up day by day in the institute.
