Geotechnical Engineering

The Geotechnical Engineering Research Group at Department of Civil Engineering, YCCE encompasses the determination of Engineering as well as Index properties of soil. Faculty members in this field span the areas of Piled raft foundation, unsaturated clay, development of model for determination of bearing capacity, development of soil compaction equipment. . The prototype model for testing for Piled raft foundation, unsaturated clay, development of model for determination of bearing capacity, development of soil compaction equipment are fabricated in the laboratory. Some models has been applied for patent also. The Department is approved Research Centre for Doctoral Research.
