Image Processing

Image Processing is one of the major thrust areas in the Department of Computer Technology. The objective of this group is to carry out research in image processing, pattern recognition, geoprocessing etc., including various other areas of image processing. Image processing techniques and pattern classifiers are in high demand in real-time artificial intelligence applications. Department offers various courses like Image Processing, Advanced Image Processing, Introduction to Geographical Information System to name a few. Department also received a grant of 7 lakhs rupees under AICTE-RPS scheme in 2010-2011.

Many faculties in the Department have attended many Short Term Training Programs, Faculty Development Programs, Workshops, Seminars and Expert Lectures in the field of this image processing to enhance the knowledge and quality of the research in this group.

Department had organized various training program/ workshops for the student in the area of image processing for their development.
