The Department of Electrical Engineering at the Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering was formed in the year 1986 and is accredited by National Board of Accreditation and provides an outstanding research environment complemented by excellence in teaching. The Department identified three different thrust area such as Power Electronics (Drives), Power System and Power Quality and Renewable Energy under which various activity related to research is carried out. The department is equipped with research facilities, motivated faculty members while running UG, PG and Ph. D. programme. The department has taken many industrial projects in the area of Electrical Distribution System, Traction Substation, Protection of Transformer, Rural Distribution System etc. Shortly the department is going to start post graduate programme in Renewable Energy System.
