Structural Analysis and Construction Material

The Structural Analysis and Construction Material occupied a special place in the modern construction of different types of structures due to its several advantages. The Department of Civil Engineering dedicate to design solutions to modern engineering challenges and applies these core strengths to key thrust areas of current and future need. Structural engineering depends on the knowledge of materials and their corresponding properties for us to predict the behaviour of different materials when applied to the structure. The range of methodologies includes experimental studies, mathematical modelling. Our thrust areas are study of use of fly ash, use of different mortar, effects of earthquake on complicated structures etc.

Recent research in Construction Material processing includes use of industrial waste material as a construction material. The Department is approved Research Centre for Doctoral Research.
