The Department of Applied Mathematics and Humanities at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur, was established in 1984. The Department actively promotes research in 6 thrust areas, including Boundry Value Problems and Thermoelasticity , Optimization, Fuzzy set Theory, Fuzzy Logic and Fuzzy Differential Equation, Fixed Point Theory (Functional Analysis), English Literature, Management & Economics, Archaeology (IKS) and organize variety of research Activities Throughout the year. The Department has established a Strong Research Culture, with faculty members contributing significantly to the Advancement of Knowledge through More than 300 Research Publications. To support Language based Research and Communication Skills, the Department is equipped with a state of the art Language Laboratory that facilitates academic and research activities for both faculty members and students. The department regularly organizes Guest Lectures, Workshops, Skill Development Programs (SDPs), Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Short-Term Training Programs (STTPs), seminars, and various research-oriented activities to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, professional growth, and holistic development of students and faculty members, while encouraging innovation, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
