Power System

Highly experienced faculty is working in Power System Research Group. The research team comprising Prof. B. Y. Bagde, Prof. S. S. Gokhale, Prof. S. B. Rewatkar, Prof. P. S. Patil, P. S. Shete. The department is equipped with High Voltage Laboratory and Power System Protection and Relaying Laboratory for UG and PG students. The projects carried out under this group mainly focuses on “Power Quality Improvement”, Analysis of Voltage Sag & Its Mitigation Using D-Statcom”, “Relay Co-Ordination”, “Optimization of Hybrid Power Generation”, “Optimal Power Flow”, “Analysis of Microgrid Under Different Loading Condition”, “Fault Detection Technique”, “Power Quality Based Performance Evaluation of Distribution Network” , “Simulation of Taps on HVDC Transmission Line”, “Analysis of Transmission Line Fault By Using Wavelet”, “Impact of Facts Devices on Distance Protection & Its Mitigation”. The department is approved research center for doctoral research where 8 research scholars are working on various projects. The faculty from the department is pursuing Ph. D. at VNIT, Nagpur.
